Angela Dunning, poetry, personal growth, healing, death, presence

Feel the air now on your face
as you walk here through
this yard of graves
with Yew hanging low
and the Snowdrop’s blessing.

Appreciate the breath
melting with each step
informing your soul
each day is a gift.

While all around
death lays waste
and decay
hangs heavy in the air
melting glaciers, no less.

Focus now on the impermanence
surrounding each day
be here
now
with this breath
and the next.
